Step outside and you’re immediately connected to nearly 800 acres of Shawnee National Forest, making it easy to explore miles of scenic trail and natural beauty. Tucked away on 10 secluded, wooded acres, our two year-round cabins offer a peaceful escape surrounded by nature. Each cabin has its own rustic charm, yet both are equally well-appointed with guest-favorite comforts, including private hot tubs open all year and electric fireplaces, perfect for unwinding after a day outdoors.

The Rustic Hideaway Cabins are tucked away in the heart of Southern Illinois, just outside Jonesboro, and directly adjoin nearly 800 acres of Shawnee National Forest, offering easy access to scenic hiking and outdoor adventures.
Set on 10 private, wooded acres, we offer two cozy cabins available year-round, each designed to provide a peaceful and comfortable escape. While decor varies slightly, both cabins feature the same amities, including year-round hot tubs, seasonal electric fireplaces, and everything you need for a relaxing stay.
Each cabin sleeps up to four guests, offers approximately 850 square feet of living space, and is thoughtfully equipped to make your getaway effortless. Cabin #1 includes an additional half bath in the loft area.
Opened in 2000, Rustic Hideaway Cabins has been welcoming guests for decades and continues to be a favorite retreat for couples and small families exploring the natural beauty of Southern Illinois.

A full refund will be given for cancellations within 30 days of the rental day.
Regulations & Policies
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the cabins.
A fee of $250 will be charged to make the cabin occupiable for the next guest if pets are brought into the cabins or if anyone smokes inside of the cabins.
Must be 21 years of age or older to rent a cabin.
We are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal property of the guests.
We reserve the right to vacate any guest if any policies or regulations are violated.

Other Information
Be aware that you’re staying in the woods. There could be insects, mosquitoes, spiders, ticks and snakes.
Cabins are based on a first come, first serve basis.
Log cabins are rented all year long.
Reservations are taken up to 1 year in adavance.
We require a 50% deposit on all reservations at the time of booking. The remaining balance will be charged within 30 days prior to your stay.
